PERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a shooting in Lawrence County.
Details are limited, but police tell KDKA at least one person was injured and taken to the hospital.
Police were seen investigating the area, with several evidence markers placed in the roadway.
According to police, it happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday on Mercer Road in Perry Township. One man was shot and taken to the hospital. Police said he was responsive.
Neighbor Carl Stoops said he woke up to an alarming call. He learned state police were investigating a shooting just yards from his front door.
"You never know what's going on when you get a call like that from someone saying, 'Are you okay?'" Stoops said. "She says there's been a shooting and they mentioned Robin Street, and I said, 'You've got to be kidding me.' Looked out the door and saw this emergency equipment and police. Kind of strange. It's a quiet little area here."
At the scene, investigators focused on the victim's SUV, which had multiple windows shot out.
Stoops said this is definitely not the "norm" here.
"You watch the news every day and it's not going to be you. Sometimes it is," Stoops said. "There's been a few accidents here, but that's about the biggest thing."
At this point, there have been no arrests and no description for any suspect or suspects.
The condition of the injured person is unknown at this time.
