PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- With today being the first day of October, the state has released it's first fall foliage forecast of the year.
Here in Southwestern Pennsylvania, the leaves are just starting to change.
If you want to see some better colors this week, McKean and Potter counties in Northern Pennsylvania are starting to get to the 'near peak' range.
Around Pittsburgh, the most colorful period is about two or three weeks away.
