Owner Upset After Store Robbed For 5th Time

WEST END (KDKA) - Elliot's Town Market, in the 900-block of Chartiers Avenue, in Pittsburgh's West End neighborhood has again been targeted by burglars.

The owner of the store said it's the fifth time his market has been burglarized, and he's fed up.

Sunny Singh told KDKA-TV's Ralph Iannotti, "It's hard to stay open. If this happens again, we're probably going to close down."

Singh said at least two, possibly three young men broke into his store late last night, and stole 10 cartons of cigarettes, and some cash.

The crime was captured on a security camera.

Elliot's Market was the scene of a shooting several years ago, when a young man was shot as he was walking out of the store. He ran to an elementary school a couple of blocks away, where he collapsed in front of some shocked preschoolers.
