Orioles Beat Pirates, 8-6

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Pittsburgh Pirates starter Brad Lincoln got roughed up Tuesday night against the Baltimore Orioles to the tune of an 8-6 loss.

Lincoln, in his second spot start in a row out of the bullpen, pitched 4 1/3 innings and allowed four runs on nine hits. Three of the runs came by way of home runs.

With one on in the second inning, Mark Reynolds hit a two-run home run to left field and gave the Orioles a 2-1 lead over Pittsburgh. They led the rest of the way.

Adam Jones hit an RBI single in the third inning for a 3-1 lead and hit a solo homer to left field in the fifth inning to increase the lead to 4-1.

Pirates first baseman Casey McGehee cut the deficit to 4-2 in the top of the sixth with a solo homer of his own, but Baltimore tacked on three more in the bottom of the inning to put the game out of reach.

Brian Roberts and J.J. Hardy each drove in runs and Chris Davis followed with a two-run home run to right-center field for an 8-2 Orioles lead.

Neil Walker and Andrew McCutchen each drove in runs in the seventh inning and Walker hit a two-run home run in the ninth, but it wasn't enough as the Pirates lost, 8-6.

Baltimore starting pitcher Wei-Yin Chen pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on eight hits.
