Opposing Sides Weigh In On Renaming Of Paternoville to Nittanyville

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Vice-President of the formerly named "Paternoville" Jeff Lowe joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN in Pittsburgh to discuss why the group changed their name from "Paternoville" to "Nittanyville."  Conversely, Dan Vescellio of "Black Shoe Diaries" joined the guys to explain why he thinks the name should have remained the same.

According to Lowe, the student organization called Jay Paterno, a long supporter of their efforts, to discuss the change with him before having a vote to determine if the name would officially be changed.

The argument made against the change of the name to "Nittanyville" made by Dan Vescellio was based on the fact that the organization was named after Paterno due solely to his contributions on the football field, and no matter what comes out regarding his involvement in the Jerry Sandusky coverup, you can't take away the success he had on the field.
