Gabby Douglas snagged the All-Around Olympic Gold for Women's Gymnastics. The American firecracker delivered some memorable routines on bar, beam and floor with a dazzling smile that captured hearts all across the United States. Just recently, she expressed her love for the CW's sexy vamp series, The Vampire Diaries, calling it her favorite show on television.
TVD stars and creator, Julie Plec, are also big fans of hers. They took to twitter to say thanks and cheer on the Olympic gymnasts during the week. Let's see what they have to say!
@michael_trevino Awww thank you soo much!!! Btw my FAV show is#TVD— Gabrielle Douglas (@gabrielledoug) August 4, 2012
In the span of one week I learned that an Olympic Gold Medalist and an American Idol love TVD.That rocks.

Who would have guessed that Kelly Clarkson is also a Vampire Diaries fan? I still walk into department stores and hear "Miss Independent" over the loud speakers while browsing. Ah, nostalgia.
BRB. I have to email my parents to tell them that I've been tweeting with an Olympian. — julieplec (@julieplec) August 3, 2012

I have little stubs for fingernails after watching the Team Final, All-Around Final and then the Vault Final (talk about a nail-biter). Congrats to the Fab Five who pulled through with a victory. Go Team USA!
