Terrelle Pryor Not Returning For Senior Season
COLUMBUS, Ohio (KDKA/AP) -- Terrelle Pryor is not going back to Ohio State for his senior season.
The announcement came through a statement from his attorney.
"In the best interests of my teammates, I've made the decision to forgo my senior year of football at The Ohio State University," Pryor said in a statement issued by Columbus lawyer Larry James.
Pryor is at the center of an investigation by the NCAA after it was believed he may have accepted more benefits than first reported.
He was already handed a five-game suspension back in December for the upcoming season because he accepted improper benefits from a local tattoo shop owner.
Pryor said he didn't want to become a distraction to his teammates.
Ohio State's head football coach Jim Tressel was forced to resign last week.
