NWS Confirms EF-0 Tornado Touched Down In Butler County
WEST SUNBURY (KDKA) – Some severe weather moved through the area Monday night. One of the hardest hit areas was Butler County, where a tornado has now been confirmed.
According to the National Weather Service, an EF-0 tornado touched down near West Sunbury around 9:45 p.m.
The tornado packed maximum wind speeds of 80 MPH.

It was the second EF-0 to hit Butler County this year.
Back in June, an EF-0 touched down in Cranberry Township near Chaparral Dr. and tracked North for about 1.5 mile.
Winds were estimated to reach 60-70 mph.
There were no reports of injuries, but trees were uprooted in several neighborhoods.
