Man Wounded In North Side Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was injured in a shooting this afternoon on the North Side.

The incident was first reported at 3:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of Rhine Street.

According to Public Safety officials, the victim was found lying in the entrance way of an apartment building with a gunshot wound to the back. The name of the 37-year-old man from Glenshaw has not been released.

He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition.

Police describe the suspect as a black male with short hair who was dressed in all black clothing.

The investigation continues.
