Woman Sought In North Side Bank Robbery
PERRYSVILLE (KDKA) – Police are looking for a woman who allegedly robbed a bank on the North Side Friday afternoon.
According to police, the robbery happened at the First Niagara Bank in the 4000-block of Perrysville Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
A white female handed a teller a note, which said, "This is a stick up. No dye packs, no alarms, nobody gets hurt."
Initially, the teller believed the note was a joke. However, the woman pulled a gun from her purse, slid it under a slot at the teller station and said, "This is not a joke."
The teller handed over an unknown amount of cash and the woman fled from the scene.
She is described as being about 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighing about 125 pounds. She has a thin build, pale complexion and is believed to be between 30 to 40 years of age.
She was wearing a tan sun visor and sunglasses with a black, hooded-sweatshirt and black pants.
