No Change In Injury Status For Crosby
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — There's still no change in Penguins captain Sidney Crosby's status, which means he's still not officially ruled out of tonight's game against Colorado.
Crosby declined to speak with the media after practice Monday, and Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said nothing has changed.
"We stated we will let (the media) know when he is playing," Bylsma said, according to the Penguins official website. "It's not going to be a secret. I'm not telling anything else other than there is no change in his status."
Bylsma added that getting cleared to play is dependent on doctors' evaluations, and that's not something he's involved in.
"In terms of on-ice stuff there isn't something we are looking for," Bylsma said. "The doctors will be looking at the next level. I'm not educated on or know what that is."
Crosby has not played since Jan. 5 and has been cleared for contact for the last month.
Other Injury News:
- Forward Tyler Kennedy (concussion) is still listed as day-to-day and hasn't been ruled out of tonight's game. Bylsma labeled him a "game-time decision."
- Forward Steve Sullivan is also listed as a game-time decision. He left Saturday's game at Carolina with what is believed to be a minor injury of some sort.
