NIKE Pulls "Seatlle" NFL Sweatshirt
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – NIKE has pulled a Seattle Seahawks NFL retro throwback with the city's name spelled wrong.
The NIKE retro full-zip sweatshirt was listed on the website for a price of $85.
The only problem, the word "Seattle" was spelled "Seatlle."
After several tweets by CBS Pittsburgh Digital Content manager Tim Williams to the sports manufacturer, the item was removed.
Following the tweets, several other media companies began tweeting about the sweatshirt, including ESPN.
CBS Pittsburgh, as well as other media outlets have reached out to NIKE for a comment and were told, "A small quantity of Seattle Seahawks hoodies had an error and were recently made available for sale. We have removed them from sale and apologize for the error."
In 2012 NIKE completely revamped the Seattle Seahawks logo and jerseys.
