NFL Analyst Steve Mariucci: Haley Going To Have Work Cut Out For Him With Vick
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- NFL Network Analyst and former head coach Steve Mariucci is in town for the Steelers/ Ravens game tonight on KDKA-TV and the NFL Network. He took time out to join "The Cook and Poni Show" to preview the game.
"It should be a good one," Mariucci said. "Because it's a game that both teams really need to win."
Mariucci says the Ravens can't afford to start 0-4 or their season is over. Meanwhile, the Steelers need to find a way to keep winning until Ben Roethlisberger returns.
So, what does the coach expect we will see from Michael Vick tonight?
"Todd Haley has his work cut out for him because he is a different style of quarterback," Mariucci said. "I'm guessing they will have a couple of things where they move him around and highlight his strengths."
He also thinks that the Steelers will rely heavily on the running game with Le'Veon Bell and DeAngelo Williams to try and help Vick. However, that usually plays into the Ravens' hands because they are so good at stopping the run.
"I expect to see the Ravens stack the box," Mariucci said. "It's like Coach Harbaugh is saying, 'Ok Michael Vick, let's see if you can still throw it."
Kickoff tonight from Heinz Field is at 8:25 p.m. and the game can be seen locally on KDKA-TV and on the NFL Network.
