Police Searching For 'Armed And Dangerous' Suspect After Arnold Shooting Leaves 1 Dead
ARNOLD, Pa. (KDKA) - One person is dead following a shooting in Arnold, and police are looking for a suspect they consider "armed and dangerous."
Westmoreland County detectives said shorty before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday that a man was found dead inside a home at the intersection of Riverside Drive and 17th Street.
Residents say someone shot the man while he was cooking dinner.
The Westmoreland County Coroner's Office identifies the victim as 33-year-old Michael Coover Jr. of Brackenridge. He died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officials say Mario Matthew Gatti is a suspect and police are actively looking for him. An arrest warrant has been issued for criminal homicide. Gatti is considered "armed and dangerous" and believed to be in the area.
"All I really know is someone came in and gunned him down," resident Travis Lasko said.
The victim shot and killed was Lasko's cousin.
His uncle was shot and killed last night in New Kensington, which is very close to Arnold.

"Parents are scared for their kids because they could be at the wrong place, wrong time," Lasko said.
A group of young people told KDKA's Pam Surano that they are afraid to be outside in their community.
"Our young men, nowadays it seems like they don't have a chance," community activist Aaron Moore said. "There is no guidance, no leadership. We need people to step up."
Jihan Thomas said the man killed Thursday spent time with him and helped him with football.
"Every time I leave my house, I just tell my family I love them," Thomas said.
