Natrona Heights Rite Aid Robbed
NATRONA HEIGHTS (KDKA) -- Police are hoping a surveillance camera image will help them find a robber who ordered employees of the Rite Aid in Natrona Heights on the floor as he stole prescription drugs.
Rite Aid is offering $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest, according to Harrison Township Police Officer Jim Austin.
Officer Austin says the robber is tall, skinny, about 30 years old and had long straggly blond hair.
He also wore a sweatshirt with some sort of logo on it.
Police say when he left the Rite Aid and there was a getaway car waiting in the parking lot. It was small and black and driven by a white woman with short, dark hair.
Officer Austin says no customers were inside the store at the time but that some of the employees ordered to the floor were pretty rattled.
The robber claimed to have a gun but never showed one.
Police say he went behind the counter and helped himself to all the Oxycontin and five bottles of Percocets.
According to police, he then told the employees: "If you move or call the police, I'll come back and shoot you."
