National NFL Pundit Suggests Steelers Keep Polamalu On Bench Against Ravens
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With safety Troy Polamalu missing last week due to injury and the Steelers' secondary having one of, if not their best performance of the year, many are wondering if the defense is better off without Polamalu on the field.
You can count CBS NFL Insider Jason La Canfora among those who believe it is no longer in the team's best interest to play Polamalu.
On this week's "Eye on Football Podcast" La Canfora says the Steelers should keep Polamalu, along with cornerback Ike Taylor, off the field in order to keep the younger players with younger legs on the field, because they've been the ones making the biggest impact as of late.
La Canfora goes as far as to say the Steelers will keep inventing injuries for Troy in order to keep those younger legs on the field.
Follow the link above and you can also hear La Canfora talk about the possibility of seeing Le'Veon Bell in action this week against the Ravens and what Baltimore will need to do to win in Pittsburgh.
