Nasir Robinson Reveals Thoughts In Final Moments Of Butler Game

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/93-7 THE FAN) -- Many Pitt fans are still talking about the Panthers' early exit from the NCAA Tournament, losing 71-70 to Butler University.

Nasir Robinson's untimely foul allowed the Bulldogs to snatch the win and move on to the Sweet 16.

Today, Robinson spoke to Seibel, Starkey and Miller on 93-7 THE FAN what happened at the end of the game.

Robinson said he did not purposely commit the foul.

"I knew how much time was on the clock, I knew what the score was," he said. "After the rebound, it was a reaction. I wasn't thinking – it just was a reaction and me just playing hard and I tried to make a play."

After the loss, Charles Barkley reached out to Robinson and told him to keep his head up, not to dwell on that play and to use it as motivation.

Despite falling short in the Big Dance, Robinson said they had a good season, traveling to Ireland, winning big games and clinching the Big East regular season title.

"We had some quality wins and I think we put our team in a nice situation this year, we just came up short," he said.
