N. Versailles Bank Robbery Suspect Sought
NORTH VERSAILLES (KDKA) – Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a bank in North Versailles Saturday.
According to police, the robbery happened at the Fifth Third Bank in the 300-block of Lincoln Highway around 1 p.m.
The suspect was armed with a black handgun.
Officials say the robber told the employees to go inside of the vault. He fled with an undetermined amount of money.
"Were looking at surveillance cameras from inside the bank and surrounding businesses to see how he left the scene," said Chief Vincent DiCenzo, of the North Versailles Police Department.
He is described as a white male about 6-feet-2-inches tall. He was wearing a gray hooded-sweatshirt with gray sweatpants.
He also wore blue medical gloves at the time of the robbery.
He could be driving a silver Chevy Malibu.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
