Mother, Son Arrested In South Strabane Home Invasion
SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Two people have been arrested in connection to a home invasion in South Strabane Township.
Police say 44-year-old Terri Lynn Stark, and her son, 18-year-old Michael Peter Stark, are facing charges.
The home invasion happened in the Windsor Highlands housing plan.
Once they got into the victim's home, they allegedly beat him in the head with a gun and threatened his life.
The victim is a paraplegic who uses a wheelchair and battles Multiple Sclerosis.
They stole items from his home, including credit cards and used them at nearby stores to purchase cigarettes.
The suspects used the card at the Get Go at Wylie and Jefferson Avenue and were caught on tape by the surveillance camera.
Police released that footage and say the news coverage prompted the public to call in with tips which led them to the Starks.
They are being held on $50,000 straight bond.
Investigators say they expect additional arrests.
