More Cars Vandalized In Pittsburgh Neighborhoods
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The list of neighborhoods in the area where cars have been targeted by vandals is growing.
First, it was 30 vehicles or more in Aspinwall, then 40 cars and trucks in Coraopolis. Tuesday night, Pittsburgh police looked into reports of cars vandalized in several neighborhoods, including Stanton Heights, Lawrenceville and Bloomfield.
In all, it appears more than 100 vehicles have been vandalized the past couple of days in our area. Allegheny County Police are also looking into the crimes to see how many – if any – are connected.
Bonnie Parsons told us KDKA-TV that she was going to take her son to work when she noticed that someone had shattered the window of her 1971 Chevrolet Impala on Camilla Street.
Nearby, Inge Krasicki said the side mirror on her fiancée's car was damaged two nights ago. She spotted the barrel of a BB gun near the car on the street where the vehicle was parked. She said she took it to the Zone 5 Police Station where police told her to throw it away.
In Bloomfield, several cars had windows broken on Main Street and the glass door of the Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse was shot out.
