More Calls For Paterno, Spanier To Step Down
HARRISBURG (KDKA) – The calls for more resignations at Penn State University are growing in number.
Former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky is accused of sexually assaulting several children while on Penn State's campus.
Sandusky allegedly met the boys through his charity, The Second Mile. He faces 40 counts ranging from inappropriate touching to statutory rape.
Sandusky will face a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
On Monday, Attorney General Linda Kelly announced that more charges are possible.

Now, the calls for head coach Joe Paterno to step down are growing in number, including one article in the Los Angeles Times.
Paterno was alerted to the alleged activity by a graduate assistant, who reported seeing Sandusky in the showers with a 10-year-old boy.
The attorney general has cleared Paterno of any wrongdoing for reporting the incident to Athletic Director Timothy Curley.
However, many are upset that Paterno did not go to police with the information as well.
Curley, along with Senior Vice President for Finance and Business, Gary Schultz, are facing perjury charges for statements made during a grand jury investigation.
Both were arraigned on Monday.
Penn State President Graham Spanier is also being urged to step down amid the scandal.
