Mon Wharf To Be Closed On Monday
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Heavy rains over the weekend have forced rivers around the area to swell. As a result, the Monday morning commute will be impacted.
According to the Public Parking Authority of Pittsburgh, the Mon Wharf will be closed Monday due to flooding.
The National Weather Service is predicting that the Ohio River will crest at 18.8 feet around 8 p.m. Sunday.
At 18 feet the Mon Wharf begins taking on water. The Ohio River isn't expected to drop below that level until Monday evening.
Motorists can use the First Avenue Garage and the Second Avenue Plaza as an alternative.
