MLB Network's Darryl Hamilton Likes A Pirates/Red Sox World Series
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- You can count MLB Network Analyst Darryl Hamilton as one who is picking the Pirates to have a magical season.
He joined "The Cook and Poni Show" Tuesday afternoon and he is picking the Pirates to play in the World Series.
"At the end of the season last year, we gave our recaps on the network and we talked about the upcoming season and to be quite honest, the two teams I picked were the Boston Red Sox and the Pittsburgh Pirates," Hamilton said. "I'm sticking with that because I look at this Pirates team and in my opinion, they probably have the best outfield in baseball."
Hamilton admits there are a great number of teams in the National League that could make a claim for being the best, including the entire Central Division, but he is sticking with the Pirates.
"I know there has been a lot of talk about the teams in the rest of the division and rightfully so," Hamilton said. "You have to give St. Louis their due. They have been phenomenal the last number of years. The Cubs did a lot of things this off season, The Brewers played well last year until they got to the final month of the season, The Reds are always a team you want to discuss as being in the mix, but when all is said and done I still like the Pirates."
