Missing Couple Contacts Family In New Kensington
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The family of Angela Suvio Meeks had not heard from her for nearly a month and reached out for help on KDKA's Facebook page.
The 25-year-old woman and her husband, Shannon, were traveling from their home in California to Pittsburgh. Except for a single call from Denver, the family had heard nothing.
They even missed their 5-year-old daughter's birthday.
But just before 5 p.m. Friday, Angela's brother, Joe, who is in the Navy, called KDKA-TV to say that his sister was safe and had contacted their mother in New Kensington.
The couple was in Iowa. They had been having marital problems and had run into some serious weather.
But both were okay and about 13 hours away from Pittsburgh.
