Michigan State Beats Penn State, 75-57
EAST LANSING, Mich. (KDKA/AP) - With the help of a triple-double from Draymond Green, Michigan State beat Penn State 75-57 on Thursday night.
Green scored 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in the win to join Magic Johnson and Charlie Bell as the only players in Michigan State history to record a triple-double.
Green received help from guard Kalin Lucas and forward Delvin Roe in the win. Lucas scored 24 points with 15 of the points coming in the first half and Roe added 15.
Penn State's Talor Battle led the team with 19 points and Jeff Brooks had 15 points in his return after missing a game with a dislocated right shoulder.
The Spartans (14-10, 6-6) avoided losing three straight for the second time in less than a month. The Nittany Lions (13-11, 5-7) have lost a season-high three straight.
Next week, Penn State will face Northwestern on Sunday and Minnesota on Thursday, both games will be at home.
