Megan's Law Violator Arrested On North Side
NORTH SIDE (KDKA) - A Megan's Law violator was arrested for the fifth time in the last 15 months on Friday.
According to the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, Erin Marie O'Brien, 35, was arrested on the North Side for failing to appear in court on two separate requirements for failing to register as a sex offender.
She was arrested last month in Ross Township for one of those failed requirements.
On Friday, deputies went to O'Brien's last known address in Ross Township, but learned she had recently moved to the Troy Hill section of the North Side.
Residents in the neighborhood told deputies that O'Brien was selling men's cologne to various bars in the area.
She was spotted and arrested without incident near the intersection of Lorie and Tinsbury Streets.
During the arrest, deputies found heroin and crack cocaine in her possession.
Her requirements to register as a sex offender stem from a guilty plea to sexual abuse of children in 2001.
