Medical Frontiers: Diabetes
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- Dr. Gerald Pifer was joined in the studio on NewsRadio1020 KDKA today by Dr. Jennifer Hoist and Dr. Stasia Miaskiewicz from Allegheny General Hospital.
Dr. Hoist and Dr. Miaskiewicz are endocrinologists with AGH and West Penn Hospitals.
This week the doctors talked about diabetes, they answered callers questions and talked about possible signs and treatments.
Also Dr. Jack Wilberger, chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at AGH and co-director of the West Penn Allegheny Health System Concussion Management Center, joined the show to talk about a free educational program this week designed to help coaches, athletic trainers, parents and others involved in the care of youth athletes and concussion related injuries.
