Medical Examiner's Office Identifies Suspect Killed In Home Invasion
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office says they have now identified the suspect who was killed during a home invasion earlier this week in Penn Hills.
The man has been identified as 21-year-old Devin Davis of Pittsburgh's North Side.
The home invasion happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Edinburg Drive.
According to police, three men entered the home wearing masks and struggled with the homeowner.
"They came and went into this house, through the garage when the homeowner came back from dropping their children off at school," said Assistant Superintendent James Morton, of Allegheny County Police.
Police say the homeowner ran into the men at the top of the basement stairs.
"Once they got in there, there was a very violent struggle," said Morton.
Police say one of the suspects was stabbed to death. His body was left on the front porch of the home.
Police say the other two suspects ran.
