McLouth Won't Face The Pirates
Tonight the Pirates will be taking on the Atlanta Braves, who will be without two of their top outfielders.
The Braves have placed center fielder Nate McLouth on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique.
Sunday, the Braves put Jason Heyward on the disabled list with lingering right shoulder problems.
McLouth was only hitting .238 with 3 home runs.
McLouth injured himself over the weekend against the Angels checking his swing on a pitch in the dirt. He immediately doubled over in pain.
To take McLouth's spot on the roster, the Braves have recalled center fielder Jordan Schafer.
Schafer was hitting .256 (42-for-164) with one home run and 21 RBIs in 42 games for Gwinnett.
