McKeesport's Zeke Marshall Ready For NBA Draft
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Thursday is the NBA Draft and while many people will be paying close attention to where Stephen Adams goes, another prospect with local connections is looking forward to seeing where his career will take him next.
The Fan's Andrew Fillipponi is joined by McKeesport's Zeke Marshall who hopes to hear his name during the draft after a productive few years at Akron.
Marshall is having a unique experience with his mom as his manager.
He has worked a great deal on his strength and has relished the chance to prove himself against some of the other top big men in the draft. Marshall traded a few shots against former Pitt center Stephen Adams.
Marshall liked Akron right away and felt like he could blaze a trail and prove himself there. Marshall ran into Lebron James a number of times on the Akron campus.
"It's like a movie star scene when he's there," he said.
Marshall expects to get drafted but does not know where.
He is looking forward to giving back to the younger hoops players in this area once he makes it to the next level.
