Firefighters Battle Flames At McKeesport Gun Club
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Firefighters worked to put out flames at the McKeesport Gun Club Sunday.
It happened around 4 p.m. at the indoor pistol range of the club located in the 3300-block of Jacks Run Road.
Heavy smoke and flames were reported in the building -- and some treasured mementos were lost.
"A lot of our photos, a lot of our heritage, the starting of the club, things like that," Kenneth Ferree, Vice President of the McKeesport Sports Association said. "A lot of photos that are deeply cherished by almost 1,500 members of this club ... this is a family club that has been around since 1934. Great grandfathers, grandfathers fathers, sons, as well as their daughters. We're talking a long legacy family."
The adjacent building was also damaged by the fire.
No word no what caused the fire.
Stay with KDKA for more information.
