Mayor Ravenstahl Answers Critics In Weekly Radio Address
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Mayor Luke Ravenstahl is on the defensive tonight amid criticism that he misses too many city events.
That topic was the focus of his weekly radio address on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA.
"Listen - I'm human, I'd be lying if I said that these accusations don't get to me - especially when I know how much I've sacrificed personally to be the best leader for this City that I can be. But I refuse to allow these recent criticisms to affect me."
Ravenstahl was criticized for not being present when four people were killed in flash flooding on Washington Boulevard.
He released a brief statement the next day, but wasn't seen until four days later, explaining he'd been out of town with his son.
