Matt Cooke Show: Beating Bruins A Measuring Stick Win For Penguins
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - The Matt Cooke Show features the Pittsburgh Penguins winger and his weekly appearance with Vinnie & Cook on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan.
Matt tells what it took to beat the Boston Bruins in an incredible comeback. Despite the 2-0 deficit, Cooke points out, "We were carrying the play, we were carrying the momentum. If we just kept our foot on the gas, we knew we were going to get turnovers and chances to score. That's exactly what you saw happen."
Matt spotlights Pascal Dupuis' physical contributions against the Bruins, and he's in awe of how Chris Kunitz has been playing.
"He's shooting the puck," Cooke says of Kunitz. "He's shooting it hard. He's a tenacious guy on the ice. It's fun to watch, because he's definitely hot."
"You want to improve everything. The one area I would say that can get better but has gotten better over the last couple of games is our penalty kill. But over the last three games, it has gotten better. We just have to make sure we stay on that so we can continue in the right direction," Cooke said.
Matt Cooke joins Vinnie & Cook each week on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan. His next appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20.
