Man Wanted In Garfield SWAT Incident Arrested In W. Va.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A 23-year-old Pittsburgh man was arrested Thursday afternoon in Huntington, W.Va., as police there were investigating an unrelated incident.
When confronted, Theodore Gore gave officers a false identification twice before running off. He was arrested following a brief chase, and taken into custody.
Gore was the subject of a police SWAT incident earlier this week in Pittsburgh's Garfield neighborhood.
Police received a tip that Gore was hiding in the basement of a home on Black Street.
A SWAT team and canine officer searched for Gore, but he managed to escape.
He was wanted on a number of charges, including carrying a firearm without a license and receiving stolen property.
Local authorities will now begin extradition proceedings to bring Gore back to Pennsylvania.
