Man Rescued After Car Goes Over Lawrence Co. Embankment
UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A man had to be rescued after crashing 400 feet over an embankment in Lawrence County Friday night.
The driver went over a hillside and into the woods near the intersection of West Washington Street and Winter Road in Union Township around 6 p.m.
Rescuers searched for him for more than two hours and used ATVs to navigate the woods and a railroad bed.
Rescuers found the man near his car around 8 p.m.
It took an hour to get him back up the hill and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
