Man On Trial For Cruelty To Animals
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A local man is on trial for allegedly running a dog-fighting operation.
Police arrested Darryl Bryant last year during a raid at his mother's home in Wilkinsburg.
Investigators seized 13 dogs from the home.
Police say they also found a video on Braynt's cell phone of pit bulls fighting.
At the trial Thursday, a veterinarian testified that most of the dogs had scars.
Other evidence included numerous photos of dogs locked up, as well as syringes and IVs, which witnesses say were used to treat the animals.
Bryant faces charges of cruelty to animals and possessing instruments of crime.
