Man Leads Police On Chase, Crashes Into Lawrence Co. Home
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A 20-year-old New Castle man faces at least 10 charges after police say he lead them on a chase then crashed into a house on Raymond Street.
Justin T. Miller was hauled off to jail after his car slammed into the house around noon Monday.
Miller allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.
Police tried to pull him over, but he took off.
Three people on the porch of the house barely got out of the way.
Rose Kelly was one of them.
"We seen the car coming," said Kelly. "And he must have lost control. He ended up crashing into my porch. My mom got hurt. And then he thought he was going to run and my brother tackled him."
Kelly says her young daughter is usually playing in front of the home, but luckily, was not in the path of the car.
"He's so ever lucky my daughter wasn't outside," she said.
Kelly's brother tackled the suspect after he tried to flee the scene of the crash.
Police later found marijuana and heroin in the vehicle. Miller had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
He is currently in a county jail.
