According to state police, the chase began at State Route 422 at State Route 954 in Buffington Township and continued from Penn Run on State Route 553 to Rexis Road. When Parks reached a bridge closure, he made a U-turn and started driving toward the troopers who were pursuing him, almost crashing into a police cruiser.
Parks then drove through an agricultural property before turning back to the road. State police say he then intentionally crashed into the driver's side of a state police cruiser. Parks' car slid into a culvert on the side of the road and became disabled.
Parks is facing two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of recklessly endangering and multiple other charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude and resisting arrest.
