4 Teenagers Arrested In Atmore Street Shooting, Home Invasion
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Four teenagers were taken into custody following a shooting and home invasion on Pittsburgh's North Side.
The incident happened on Atmore Street in Marshall-Shadeland around 11 a.m. Thursday.
Pittsburgh police say the teenagers are 14, 16 and 17. At least a dozen shots were fired during the home invasion.
The 32-year-old man who was seriously injured in the shooting will not cooperate with police, KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin reports.
The man was on the phone with his girlfriend when the shooting happened. She did not want to be identified.
"I heard gunshots on the phone and then I immediately – he told me to call the cops – so I immediately called the cops and rushed down here," she told KDKA-TV.
Police say three of the four suspects will be charges as adults. The 14-year-old, described as a career criminal, is headed to the Shuman Detention Center.
Without cooperation of the victim, the four suspects will likely be back on the streets.
Police say it appears the teenagers were after drugs.
