Man Taken To The Hospital After Struck By Car In Shaler Township

SHALER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A man in his 80s was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car in Shaler Township.

The accident happened around 8 p.m. on Parker Street when the man was crossing the road. The vehicle remained at the scene.

The accident temporarily closed Parker Street in Shaler.

Officials are investigating.

Road Closure:

Parker St is closed from Washington St in Etna and Koehler St in Shaler due to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. A male in his 70's was struck. He was transported to a local hospital. The vehicle remained at the scene. Allegheny County Police assisting the Shaler PD
