Man Falls Into Water, Disappears While Fishing
SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Search efforts have been called off for the night after a man slipped and fell into the water this morning while fishing at Slippery Rock Creek in McConnells Mill State Park in Lawrence County.
According to state police, 38-year-old John Latulippe, of Glenshaw, was fishing near McConnells Mill Bridge around 9 a.m. when he fell and disappeared in the water.
Officials say Latulippe was last seen in the water at this area.
Latulippe is described as a white male standing at 5-feet-9-inches tall, 205 pounds with blonde/gray hair and blue eyes.
State police say he was last seen wearing jeans, a tan fishing vest, green cap and tennis shoes.
Rescue crews are reportedly searching by air with helicopters, on foot and on the water with professional kayakers and dive teams.
