Man Facing Charges In Shooting Allegedly Over Cigarette
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police have arrested a man following an argument and shooting, allegedly over a cigarette.
According to police, 32-year-old Lamarr Marshall entered Lakeisha Lane's Kelly Street home around 6:30 p.m. in Homewood on Tuesday.
He shot her in the leg when she refused to give him a cigarette.
"I was in my room and I heard a shot go off," a friend who was upstairs at the time told KDKA-TV. "I come downstairs, she had a bullet in her leg and the person who shot her was gone."
Authorities say her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Marshall is facing several charges including attempted homicide, aggravated assault and illegally carrying a firearm.
He has a firearms charge because he was previously convicted of armed robbery.
Marshall was arraigned overnight and is in the Allegheny County Jail.
