Man Arrested Twice For Suspected DUI On Same Day
BUTLER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A Butler County man is behind bar after police say he was arrested twice in the same day for allegedly driving under the influence.
Eric Mulneix, of Chicora, was already awaiting trial for an earlier DUI when he was arrested Saturday for suspicion of drunk driving.
Butler Township Police say he got back behind the wheel and hours later rear-ended an SUV.
Mulneix has a long history of DUIs and other arrests dating back 20 years.
"Just the fact that you take a person's license away from them doesn't necessarily [mean it's going to] stop them from driving, cause we get that every day," said Chief Gary Garman, of Butler Township Police. "People eventually at the first or second time, the third time, they just don't bother to go back for a license. They just continue to drive."
Police say Mulneix blew a .18 on a breathalyzer test.
