Man Arrested After Point Breeze Chase
POINT BREEZE (KDKA) - A Troy Hill man is facing attempted homicide charges after an early Sunday morning police chase.
According to police, Melvin Solomon was speeding near the intersection of Penn and South Braddock Avenues in Point Breeze around 2 a.m.
When officers tried to pull him over, he sped off.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Solomon ended up on a dead end street. As he tried to back out, he nearly hit an officer.
As a result, the officer fired at the vehicle, which caused Solomon to lose control and crash into a minivan.
He fled the scene on foot and was later arrested at his girlfriend's apartment in Penn Hills.
