Man Arrested After Hit-And-Runs Leaves 7 Cars Damaged
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One man is in custody after allegedly hitting seven parked cars in a suspected string of hit-and-runs while drunk driving.
Police say 29-year-old Deven Clark of East Liberty was driving a three-wheeled Camaro down Liberty Avenue when he hit seven parked cars late Thursday night. It's unclear if the car started out with a missing wheel or if it came off after hitting the cars.
No one was hurt in the incident, but each car owner told police their car was parked legally and undamaged.
After a witness described what happened to the cars, police were approached by a man only a couple of blocks from where the accidents happened.
They say the man, who turned out to be Clark, was having difficulty walking, maintaining his balance and had a bloody and swollen lip. Police say Clark parked his car and was then arrested and taken in for a breath test.
Clark is charged with multiple counts, including hitting unattended vehicles, DUI-general impairment and driving while operating privilege revoked.
