Man Allegedly Posed As Teenager, Sent Lewd Texts, Photos

BRADENVILLE (KDKA) -- A man is facing charges after he pretended to be a teenager online and sent lewd text messages and photos to two teenage girls.

Dale McNutt, Jr., 47, was arrested on six charges, including unlawful contact with minors, indecent assault and possession of sexual materials.

He's accused of interacting with two girls, ages 15 and 16. McNutt met them on a social networking site called MyYearbook.com.

Police say McNutt posed as a 16-year-old boy named "Chance Allison" and used a fake photo.

The 15-year-old girl agreed to meet him at Pittsburgh Mills Mall for a movie and a bite to eat. On the date, he allegedly kissed her and put his hand down her jeans. She later confronted McNutt about his identity.

Both girls claim McNutt sent them lewd texts and photos of his genitals.

No one answered the door at McNutt's home in Derry Township, but an ex-relative says she finds the arrest alarming and wants the public to know something.

"That he's a nice guy," she said. "I can't believe they arrested him and I don't know how they would do that."

Police interviewed McNutt and they say he admitted to making the fake online profile and admitted to calling and texting the two girls.

He appeared before a magistrate on Tuesday. His bond was set at $5,000. Some of McNutt's family members were trying to post bond.
