Man Accused Of Shooting 2 Teens Arrested In Mercer Co.
SHARON (KDKA) – A man accused of shooting two teenagers in a car earlier this month has been arrested.
According to police, Quentin Mathews, 34, was wanted in connection with an incident on Oct. 17 in Farrell.
Mathews was a front seat passenger in a vehicle that picked up two 17-year-old boys. At some point, a verbal altercation between one of the boys and Mathews escalated.
Mathews allegedly pulled out a gun and shot one of the teens three times – twice in the face and once in the arm. He then turned the gun on the second teen and shot him in the back.
The teens got out of the car and ran to a nearby home for help. The teen that was shot three times has since been released from the hospital.
After searching the vehicle, police obtained a warrant for Mathews.
On Tuesday, he was arrested in Greenville after allegedly committing a home invasion.
Mathews is facing a list of charges including, attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. Charges related to the home invasion have not yet been filed.
Mathews is currently being held in the Mercer County Jail on $150,000 bond.
