Man, 2 Girls Injured In Lawrence Co. Crash
NEW CASTLE (KDKA) - A man and two young children were injured in a violent crash Sunday evening in Lawrence County.
The accident happened just after 6 p.m. on East Poland Road.
According to police, the driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle on an icy spot, left the road and struck a tree. The car flipped onto its side and became wedged between a tree and a garage.
Authorities say the three people inside the vehicle, a man in his 40s and two little girls, had to be rescued after becoming trapped in the vehicle.
The girls were taken by ambulance to a local hospital while the man was flown by medical helicopter to another medical facility. So far, there is no word on their conditions.
Police are investigating the accident.
