Malkin Named 3rd Star, Crosby Named Ambassador
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Evgeni Malkin was named the NHL's third star for last week.
'Geno' had four goals and three assists last week and is currently riding a five-game point streak.
Ottawa's Jason Spezza was named the NHL's No. 1 star and Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne is the second star.
Meanwhile, Sidney Crosby was named as a Youth Olymipcs Ambassador by the International Olympic Committee for the Winter Youth Olymipc Games in Innsbruck Jan. 2012. His role as an ambassador is to inspire and mentor the athletes competing at Innsbruck 2012, while encouraging young people worldwide to become more active in sport of hockey.
