Lost Goat Shows Up On Westmoreland Co. Couple's Doorstep
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Is anyone out there missing a goat?
That's the question a Westmoreland County couple is asking after a little goat showed up at their home earlier this week.
On New Year's, the animal showed up at the Whipkey's house on Greensburg Road in Washington Township.
Dave Whipkey says he was shoveling snow from his driveway when the goat walked up and nudged him.
He says this is a first.
"We've had some chickens come; we don't know from where. They stayed here for a while. Other cats have showed up, but this goat takes the cake," said Whipkey. "And he's friendly; he's definitely somebody's pet."
Whipkey says the goat is friendly, and has a tag on its ear, so the animal apparently belongs to someone.
He plans on taking care of it until he can find its owner or a new home.
